Irvine, Ca My beautiful wife and son enjoying the day!Things Happen For A Reason

Throughout my life, I was always involved in sports.  From swimming, to soccer, to water polo, volleyball and basketball, I was always on a team and competing.

I was fortunate to not have any serious injuries-but was always hampered by many nagging, muscle type of pains.  My coaches never gave me much advice, “just ice and stretch it, it will go away.”  Well, it never really went away.

Discovered My Passion

After high school, I attended UC Irvine, where my enthusiasm for sports quickly developed into sports injury treatments.  I studied at the sports medicine center for 3 ½ years where I learned about injury treatments, prevention and rehabilitation.  I discovered my passion was helping other athletes with their injuries and getting them back to competing as soon as possible.

My Eyes Were Opened

While I was performing my internship, I met a chiropractor who changed the way I saw and viewed injuries.  He challenged me to think “outside the box” and to look at the body as a whole, versus as individual parts.  This was my calling.

Thanks Mom

After graduating from UC Irvine, I attended Los Angeles Chiropractic College.  I focused on sports medicine and learned all I could about the latest treatment technologies that were helping sports athletes.  My mother forced me to take some advanced sports medicine courses that would forever change my chiropractic career path.

I opened Next Level Wellness Center in 2001.  After buying out my partner 2 years later, I started to take more advanced classes to fine tune my skills.  I was introduced to the Fenzian Treatment System in 2004 which opened the door to the professional athlete and celebrity world.

One of my colleagues was treating Steve Nash and asked me to help him with his pain prior to the start of the playoff season in 2005.  I flew out to Phoenix where I worked on Steve.

An Important Call

I received a call from a Laker basketball player on a Saturday night asking me for help in fixing his knee.  No sooner than I hung up the phone, I was on a plane to Hawaii to work on Cory Blount.  While I was there I was able to work on some of the other guys who were experiencing pain while going through their training camps.  Training camps are tough and the guys are practicing twice a day.  It was interesting to see that a lot of the guys were hurt and toughed it out – something a lot of the professional athletes do.  I was excited to be able to treat them and help them secure a spot on the roster.

With my exposure to the professional athlete, I have received calls from agents asking if I could treat their movie stars.  One in particular was one of the stars of the film, The Transporter.  It was interesting to see that he had similar aches and pains from most of the athletes that I’ve worked on.

Working with professional athletes and celebrities has really fine tuned my skills and techniques and has allowed me to learn about all the new treatments and technologies that the professional athletes and celebrities have access to.

I am always being called upon to travel to treat the various teams that come through town.  While working my magic on these guys, I am always picking up new technology, treatments, supplements etc. that they use during their trainings.  I always love to hear about some new treatments that are being performed all over the world so I can bring it to my patients and to my office.

Balancing my career, my family and my life have been challenging, but definitely worth it.  My wife and son have been the biggest supporters of my career.  They continue to push me to learn more and give more to my patients.
